Still with the Noodler’s inks but pen-wise we head to Japan. The Pilot Custom 742 pen is a typical black resin, gold trim pen about the same size as a M800 Pelikan. Like a lot of my Japanese pens it is all about the nib. The nib on this occasion is a three tined MS (music stub).
Yet another black Noodler’s ink, this one is called X-Feather and is formulated to not feather on cheap paper. I don’t normally use anything other than Rhodia or Clairefontaine paper so this ink is not really going to be shown to its best effect.
